Tropical Foliage Planter

9:00am – 5:00pm 


This class will cover basic tropical plant making for 1/12 scale for a mixed foliage planter. Methods will include using hand cutting and paper punches on Japanese crepe paper.  All leaves will be shaped for realism and basics of coloring with paints, alcohol inks, and markers will be taught.  Students will learn how to assemble their plants and place them in a container with dirt for realistic measure.  Completion of this project is expected, but students who do not finish will have all the skills needed to finish their project in their own time.

Supplies Needed:

A pair of small sharp scissors, a small double ended ball tool (stylus), tweezers - curved or pointed.   Additional lighting or magnification if needed.  A carrying container will be provided to transport your beautiful new plant home.
