PROJECT: Tips and Techniques for Landscape Paintings in Miniature

Saturday, March 15, 1pm EST - 2 hour demonstration
Sunday, March 16, 1pm EST – 1 hour follow-up and review
DESCRIPTION:
If you have asked "How did they paint that so realistically to look like a photo?" then this is the class for you! This seminar is designed to demonstrate techniques used to paint a variety of common elements in realistic landscape paintings in miniature. Students will receive detailed notes to accompany each demonstration, including water, waves, trees, rocks, & clouds. These will be small studies of landscape ELEMENTS and no full painting will be created. All painting media are welcome (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil and even craft paints.) Demonstrations will be conducted in acrylic. Students will then practice techniques on their own and are welcome to join back on Sunday for a one hour question & answer session and critique if desired. A suggested materials list will be emailed which will include recommended brushes, colors and painting surfaces.
Maximum Number of Students: 60
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate students, all skill levels welcome.
