PROJECT: Soldering candle holder

DESCRIPTION:
Anna will teach you the skills needed to create a brass candle holder. This candle holder looks elegant and stylish and will suit both classic Victorian dollhouses and more modern interiors. It can be placed on a dining room table or entryway table, as well as decorate a fireplace. The candle holder measures 46x15x8mm. It is an exact 1:12 scale replica of the original model.
In this class you will learn soldering techniques using a jewelry soldering iron, as well as an introduction to hand torch techniques, how to solder flat elements and how to assemble a 3D object. For this class you will be provided with the author’s molds to simplify the process of assembling, fixing and soldering the product. You’ll also receive an introduction to the techniques used by jewelry makers so that you can further assemble and solder your own designs. The material to work on in this class is brass and you will learn how to properly post-process the piece.
A soldering iron will be needed for this class. The instructor will send out the recommended models of irons, tools and supplies via email after registration.
