Miniature Painting in Acrylics - "Garden Swing"

DATE AND TIME: Offered March 9, 9 am to 1:00 pm ET and                                    March 10, 9 am to 1:00 pm ET

Enjoy a beginner acrylic painting class in an impressionist style, creating a framed 2.5" x 3" garden painting. Skills taught will be color mixing, with a focus on managing a limited palette, working with acrylic glaze to extend drying time, brushwork and painting composition. Drawing transfer techniques will be covered. This class is designed for the miniaturist who has a desire to move from craft painting to fine art quality work. Christine Hannon has taught painting for over 20 years and posts regularly to Instagram and Facebook as @hannonminiatures. She maintains a relaxed and fun atmosphere where even the most inexperienced student will be proud of their work and confident to paint on their own.

Your materials fee will include painting surface, 2 miniature paint brushes, one scraper, palette paper, mini spray bottle, sample sizes of all paint colors and glaze, color print of the painting prototype, tips and techniques worksheet, unfinished wood frame.

GUILD ADMINISTRATIVE FEE: $12 members / $22 non-members

MATERIALS FEE: $30 - Students who take multiple classes with Christine will have a reduced materials fee of $20 

Materials fee includes shipping within the United States. International students will be charged according to the amount necessary to ship items to their country and will be charged separately. International students should make arrangements with their instructor as soon as possible after registration.
