Wood Veneer Parquetry Table

1/12 scale table features a 3" diameter wood veneer parquetry top on a pre-made pedestal that students will paint. No woodworking experience necessary. Beginner students will have the choice of a simpler design in the same woods, but the instructor's methods are surprisingly uncomplicated. Parquetry design will be worked on masking tape before gluing to table top. Project will require fine sanding and application of a shellac finish built up in layers.

Supplies: All supplies and tools will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring extra lighting/magnification, a small cutting board and favorite L square and Xacto knife.

Extra supplies are available for purchase.

Completion is not likely - this is more of a technique class. Can easily be completed at home.
