Glass Blossoms using UV Resin
Instructor: Anna Belogurova (A)
Tuesday, 8/4/2026, 8am to 5pm

This live workshop introduces participants to one of the most expressive and contemporary materials in miniature art — UV resin, under the guidance of Anna, an experienced miniature artist, teacher, and IGMA Artisan.
During the session, participants explore the unique qualities of UV resin, known for its glass-like transparency, strength, and ability to create realistic glass effects and modern sculptural details. This material opens new creative possibilities in miniature work, adding light, depth, and a refined contemporary aesthetic.
Working step by step, Anna guides participants through the creation of a stylish contemporary floral arrangement, combining delicate wire structures with translucent elements and resin details. Special attention is given to wire as a sculptural medium — shaping, layering, and manipulating light and transparency to achieve a modern, refined composition.
Unlike an online class, this live workshop offers a deeper exploration of the material and its behavior in real time, with close, individualized guidance for each participant throughout the process.
As a bonus, Anna will demonstrate how to work with silicone molds, and participants will create their own UV resin vase during the class.
Students supplies and tools needed: cutting mat, wire cutters, tweezers, needle tool, round nose pliers, flat pliers, bent nose pliers, and UV lamp. Students can bring their own larger variety of color pencils. Magnification and extra lighting if needed.
