Intro to Petit Point in Miniature

If you ever wondered what Petit Point in Miniature scale is, this workshop is for you.

This class is a hands-on introductory course for the beginners. The participants will learn everything they need to know about the silk gauze and how to frame it, what silk floss and needles to use for different counts of silk gauze, appropriate stitches, the process of blocking and finishing.

Petit Point is a form of counted embroidery worked on an interlock silk canvas. The instructor will share Petit Point techniques and tips on working with silk gauze in miniature scale (1/12, ½ and a quarter scale) that will allow you to create a mini masterpiece of your own. 

Students supplies and tools needed:

Sharp scissors, magnification, small light and extension cord if you need them.
